Celia Mar 11, 2013 @ 06:45:52 there are several more businesses in this building that didn’t fit in the frame. Doug Mar 10, 2013 @ 21:21:35 The Hot Dog place was once, and for years, a Pepe’s Tacos. Do you remember that franchise? And the bar to the right…had thick ass velour curtains and a upright piano in the front bar. Very much a sneak joint. Celia Mar 11, 2013 @ 06:49:20 there is a lot more to this block than the CVS pharmacy! I don’t remember Pepe’s but Mr C. probably does. He grew up on Roscoe and roamed this neighborhood back in the day. Janet Mar 10, 2013 @ 21:39:37 A hot dog place that delivers? 🙂 Celia Mar 11, 2013 @ 06:49:34 i know, right? Lori D Mar 11, 2013 @ 10:04:49 A tasty Vienna hot dog and a psychic reading, makes for a nice day. Boy, how I miss my hometown. Celia Mar 11, 2013 @ 20:54:36 Gee, you make living here sound pretty good! Loved your comment, Lori. More soon, Celia Lori D Mar 11, 2013 @ 21:19:10 Can’t get Vienna hot dogs where I live. Guess where is the first place I head to when I go home and visit Mom? Portillos, but Flub a Dub Chub’s sounds pretty good too. Looks like I’m back on the diet before I travel home. 😉 Celia Mar 13, 2013 @ 11:17:08 Sounds like you are suffering from a dangerous sort of deprivation. . . no Vienna hot dogs? Oh, my! Lori D Mar 13, 2013 @ 13:34:56 No wet beef sandwiches or Chicago pizza either. It’s misery! Heh. Actually, Chicago has some of the best food, in general, in the entire world. Where I live now, I haven’t found anything that equals any place there (in 20 plus years).
