The road carries us out of the city, away from the garbage, the crowds, the harsh and thick buildings and into a landscape that’s more responsive and giving. The grasses and trees wave with the elements’ touch. The woods creak with motion, even the old barn, too, out here where the clouds and history rule.

Thank you, Harley. Black-and-white is certainly much more demanding than color photography. This was a color photograph initially that is still true to itself when the color is taken away.
