A few more pictures from my recent walk with Bob at the bird sanctuary. So much has been happening in every day! It is calming to look at photographs of fog, because fog is simplifying. It emphasizes the scheme of things.

We wait to be absorbed into the vortex of spring. We scan the trees for signs that it is coming. Reluctant spring has teased us to the point where it is no longer fun.

The holiday being over is a bit of a let-down, isn’t it? I feel we all need a little cheering up. This picture reminds me of the happiness of preparing for the holiday with my husband, Bob.

By tradition, the Good Friday service is held at noon, the hour of Jesus’s death by crucifixion. The service is somber, and lengthy. The saddest hymns are sung, the Passion is recalled in all its details, the choir and clergy come and go with a silence that is abnormal and spooky. Images of Jesus above…
