Go home happy, like the people pictured here. They got to see the whole magnificent spectacle of the Lincoln Park Zoo Lights (not just this one tree outside the entrance), because they knew the proper days and hours.
- The hours of the zoo lights are from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- The zoo lights will be open tonight (Dec 23).
- They will be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (Dec 24 and 25).
- They’ll be open again Thursday, December 26, through Sunday, January 5.
- ADMISSION IS FREE!

Strolling through the zoo at night during the holidays is not to be missed, especially if the weather is relatively mild. The lights are dazzling. Don’t miss out, Chicago!

I did walk through the zoo last year when the lites were up and bright! I got lucky in that it was a pretty mild evening in mid-December. There were a lot of people there–a lot; the atmosphere festive! Maybe this year, if there is a mild night I’ll make it again.

I’ve made plans to go tonight with friends. The temperature in Chicago today is already 45 degrees!
