On Presidents Day, snow fell heavily into the evening. The yard of the country house filled with it, the lanterns illuminating its dimpled surface, peace radiating from its untouched beauty.
In the morning we left without looking into the courtyard again. The roads had been plowed, and, as we drove, we marveled at how quickly the snow was melting away. In Indiana, the temperature was 52 degrees. By the time we reached home, it was nearly spring.

That is a really cool wintery picture! I like the glow of the small outdoor lamps onto the snow. And, yes there does indeed seem to be a lot of it! By the by, that backyard looks pretty nice; I can see some well-designed terracing.

Thanks, H. Can’t take credit for the loveliness of the courtyard–that was my mother-in-law; but the picture, yes, I was happy with it. I like taking pictures with my little Canon at night–it produces surprisingly nice results.
