To look at the lily leaf as a natural habitation is to be amazed at the scale of creation.
Each round leaf evokes a miniature world.
The peculiarity of its creatures fills me with wonder.

We grow these in our pond. I’ve seen frogs sitting on the lily pads but never ducks. Great photos.

Hi Janet–it was lucky to see the ducklings when they were still small enough to get up on the leaves. If the pond is crowded enough with leaves the ducklings have little alternative! Take care now, Celia
