     there are several more businesses in this building that didn’t fit in the frame.

   The Hot Dog place was once, and for years, a Pepe’s Tacos. Do you remember that franchise? And the bar to the right…had thick ass velour curtains and a upright piano in the front bar. Very much a sneak joint.

     there is a lot more to this block than the CVS pharmacy!
     I don’t remember Pepe’s but Mr C. probably does. He grew up on Roscoe and roamed this neighborhood back in the day.

   Can’t get Vienna hot dogs where I live. Guess where is the first place I head to when I go home and visit Mom? Portillos, but Flub a Dub Chub’s sounds pretty good too. Looks like I’m back on the diet before I travel home. 😉

       No wet beef sandwiches or Chicago pizza either. It’s misery! Heh. Actually, Chicago has some of the best food, in general, in the entire world. Where I live now, I haven’t found anything that equals any place there (in 20 plus years).
