What is a landscape without mystery?
If there is an explanation for this massive archaic wall, this door to the unknown, I don’t want to know. I’m perfectly happy making up my own stories about it and being creeped out. (Yet doesn’t it seem like it could be very Important?)
Rob Moses says
Very strange!
Celia says
That it is. I wonder who has the key. . .
Harley says
Yes, one totally bizarre and scary-looking thick wall with a tiny door? Hmmmm–and–as you mentioned–what was/is the wall for.
Celia says
so utilitarian. is it keeping the neighboring buildings up? or it is some kind of a divider? the pigeons on the top can see down in to the other side. . .
Janet says
It looks like it doesn’t belong there. It reminds me of a little pub in town called “The Alley”. It’s named that because someone put a building in between two buildings which used to be an alley way.
Celia says
That’s funny; and you’re right about this structure being out of place. It’s as though the whole world it was built into has vanished; it’s the only trace left. Yet the pavement leading up to the door is all patched, as though reaching the door were really important.
