A friend who lives on the topmost corner of a west loop building invited us to a party marking the end of summer. A forecast of rain filled us with trepidation–we were hoping to sit out on the balcony.
As if on cue, the clouds cleared away. The evening turned lovely. Two moons shone down on us as we bid summer goodbye.
Click on the photos to enlarge them. Either Saturn or Mars is visible beyond the moon.

Cool pictures !!! . . . . Wasn’t there a night in July or late June when there were two moons as well ?

Dunno. There was at least one supermoon, and I think a “blue moon.” Come to think of it, in early September, there was a ‘harvest moon’ as well. I happened to see it as Bob and I were leaving a restaurant but I didn’t have my camera.
