Gee, I hope Chicago can get a “vortex” of heat instead of this persistent too-cool spring. By the by, when a strong heat wave comes the meteorologists call it a “dome” of heat.

The temperatures continue to be considerably below normal for this time of year. I think the high today was only around 50, and one needs a winter coat to go out tonight.
