On Saturday, my husband and I attended the fourth wedding of our summer season. I wish I could fittingly describe all the details of this beautiful event and my emotions as I listened to the celebrant’s prayers. It’s been a rich experience, witnessing the formal beginnings of four new households–lovers pairing off to settle down together permanently, and so taking their place among the host of other humans who have done so throughout history.
Between these thrilling events, there has somehow been time to move this blog to a new platform and join my siblings in helping my parents move from Pennsylvania to Minneapolis. I wish I could have captured it all more vividly and written more–during September, particularly. The people who write the most when they are busiest are the most exceptional diarists.
I will probably fill in the gaps by writing some posts for this month after the fact. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this photograph of the final rich course the summer served up.
